Why Solar?

Why Solar?

Solar farms provide a landowner with a secure, stable and predictable long term index linked income for 35 years.

Why Solar?

As your partner the EirSolus team will manage the design, planning, approval and construction process from start to finish while continuously briefing the landowner during the project to ensure a successful outcome for all parties.

Landowner Benefits

Solar provides an opportunity
for landowners to diversify
their land use. Solar farms provide a landowner with a secure, stable and predictable long term index linked income for 35 years. Farmers also routinely graze sheep amongst the solar arrays and the panels themselves offer a source of
shelter

Low Visual Impacts

Compared to other renewable
technologies, solar has the advantage of seamlessly
blending into its surroundings
of the natural environment
Solar arrays can follow the natural undulations of the ground and can be effectively screened by using appropriate hedging

Proven Technology

Utility scale Solar farms have a
proven track record in similar
temperate climates to Ireland’s 13
GW of solar operational in the UK
Although Ireland does not have the
same level of sunshine as our European counterparts, our lower temperatures significantly improve the performance and lifetime of photovoltaic cells

Our solar farms will help Ireland achieve it’s 2030 target to generate 80 of electricity from renewable  sources. The Government’s Climate Action Plan has set a target of 8 GW of solar generation by 2030 with Renewable Energy Support Schemes via annual auctions providing developers with a route to market for their projects
